Spy Magnet

Kristin Hersh was one of my first major songwriting influences, so I was super excited to have the chance to see her play at this intimate house show in Inman Park the other night.  The show was planned in only one day, via twitter, and was attended by about 40 people.

It all started with this tweet from @kristinhersh: “on my way to chapel hill cuz my atlanta show was canceled (but i’ll come back to atlanta if anybody wants to put on a sunday house show??)”

Less than 2 hours later, a house show was booked @johnkress’ house in Inman Park!

After seeing this show, I can honestly say Kristin Hersh is one of the sweetest and nicest people I’ve ever met.  She’s incredibly talented, and one of the most innovative songwriters alive today.
